<p>Job Overview</p> <p>The responsibility of the Material Handler is to proactively maintain flow of materials and products through a high volume, fast paced plant environment.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Moves, stores, and spaces materials as directed </li><li>Delivers materials and molds to various departments and between plant locations following prescribed practice or instructions </li><li>Assists with loading and unloading materials and goods from incoming and outgoing trucks </li><li>Uses tow motor and hand truck to transport materials </li><li>Follows all safety requirements </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>1-2 years' experience in manufacturing preferred </li><li>Experience and competency using tow motors required </li><li>Effective communication skills </li><li>Good organizational skills </li><li>Ability to read and write proficiently in English </li><li>Ability to use hand and power tools </li><li>Ability to operate and maintain industrial equipment </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Able to work in a hot humid environment for extended periods of time. </li><li>This job is in a typical manufacturing environment, to include, but not limited to: </li><li>Ovens, torches, and rotating tools </li><li>Forklifts and other moving machinery </li><li>Loud work environment </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to remain stationary with intermediate walking throughout the shift. </li><li>Must be able to potentially lift up to 50lbs. </li><li>Must be comfortable riding in a tow motor for an extended period of time. </li><li>Must be able to perform movements such as walking, bending, twisting, pulling, turning, and standing. </li></ul>
