<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Marketing and Outreach Specialist supports the planning, coordination, and execution of Wyoming PBS's marketing, communications, and outreach strategies. This position plays a key role in managing day-to-day marketing operations, including social media, email communications, website content, and promotional campaigns. This position works closely with the Director of Marketing, Outreach and Communications to implement campaigns, produce marketing materials, and support station-wide promotional and outreach efforts.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assists the Director of Marketing, Outreach and Communications in executing integrated marketing, communications, and outreach strategies across digital, print, and in-person channels. </li><li>Supports the day-to-day management of Wyoming PBS social media accounts, including content scheduling, posting, monitoring, and engagement, in coordination with the Digital Engagement and Analytics Manager and Promotions Producer. </li><li>Coordinates the development, production, and distribution of email marketing campaigns and newsletters, including content creation, formatting, scheduling, and list management. </li><li>Assists in maintaining and updating website content to ensure messaging is current, accurate, and aligned with organizational priorities and campaigns. </li><li>Develops, edits, and proofs marketing and communications materials, including press releases, social media content, email campaigns, and other promotional copy. </li><li>Coordinates the production of marketing and promotional materials with internal staff and external vendors, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with brand standards. </li><li>Supports the development and production of the monthly program guide, coordinating with internal staff and external vendors to ensure accuracy and deadlines are met. </li><li>Supports the coordination and implementation of outreach events and community engagement activities, including logistics, promotion, and on-site assistance. </li><li>Collaborates with producers and staff to support promotion of programming and station initiatives across platforms. </li><li>Helps ensure all outward-facing communications maintain consistent brand standards, voice, and messaging. </li><li>Provides general administrative and project support to the Director of Marketing, Outreach and Communications as needed. </li><li>Provides general administrative and project support to the Director of Marketing, Outreach and Communications as needed. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Position Specifications and Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or equivalent combination of education and experience. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>One to three years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, outreach, or a related field. Licenses/Certifications </li><li>Demonstrated experience working with Adobe Creative Suite </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>Equivalency Statement</p> <ul> <li>Equivalent combinations of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered on a case-by-case basis. </li></ul> <p>Desired Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in public media, nonprofit organizations, or a related field. • Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems. </li><li>Experience coordinating events or community outreach activities. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. </li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Ability to assist in the development, editing, and proofreading of communications materials, including social media, email campaigns, and press releases. </li><li>Familiarity with digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and content management systems. </li><li>Ability to support coordination and execution of outreach events and community engagement activities. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all materials and communications. </li><li>Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and vendors. </li><li>Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond quickly to immediate needs. </li><li>Professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic. </li><li>Creative problem-solving skills and a willingness to assist wherever needed in the Marketing and Outreach Department. </li></ul> <p>Level of Supervision</p> <ul> <li>Reports to the Director of Marketing, Outreach and Communications. </li></ul> <p>Working Environment</p> <ul> <li>Reasonable accommodation will be extended to otherwise qualified individuals with a legally recognized disability. </li></ul> <p>Equipment Used</p> <ul> <li>Work is performed in an office setting. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <p>Environmental Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Occasional weekend/evening work may be required. </li></ul> <p>CWC is an Equal Opportunity Educator and Employer.
