<p>Brahms Design is an architectural design firm. Brahms Design is committed to designing safe, high-quality, efficient environments that enhance the lives of our residents.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Project Architect, reporting directly to the Director of Architecture, is responsible for leading the development of accurate, coordinated construction documents. This role collaborates with consultants, contractors, clients, and internal teams to ensure clarity, quality, and alignment with project goals while also mentoring junior design staff and supporting overall architectural excellence.</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <p>The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Lead the creation of construction drawings and specifications, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and consistency across projects. </li><li>Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and client representatives to align scope, schedule and deliverables. </li><li>Partner with the Director of Architecture to track schedules, progress, and resolve technical challenges. </li><li>Collaborate with the development team to identify and integrate design opportunities that meet project objectives. </li><li>Mentor and provide technical guidance to Design Professionals to support their growth. </li><li>Review consultant documents, shop drawings, and submittals for compliance with project requirements. </li><li>Facilitate and participate in client and consultant meetings; document decisions and oversee implementation. </li><li>Assist in quality assurance and quality control reviews to maintain consistency, accuracy, and firm standards across deliverables. </li><li>Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and prepare field reports. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor or Master's degree in architecture required by hire date. Degree from NAAB accredited program preferred. </li><li>Licensed Architect or actively working toward licensure. </li><li>Strong technical knowledge of building systems, codes, and detailing. </li><li>Experience producing full sets of construction documents. </li><li>Proficiency in Revit for production and coordination, and Enscape for Visualization. </li><li>Ability to coordinate across disciplines and communicate clearly with consultants and contractors with a strong commitment to serving in-house team members. </li><li>Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing repeat project workflows. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>As part of The Dover Company's commitment to providing outstanding care and support, the company ensures that staff work under conditions that prioritize safety, collaboration, and professional growth. The conditions listed below define the experience of working at the Brahms Home Office.</p> <ul> <li>This position may need to walk or stand for extended periods while visiting project sites. </li><li>This position may need to lift up to twenty (20) pounds. </li><li>This position may need to move through areas of the office or other worksites of the organization. </li><li>This role involves actively participating in all staff activities aimed at fostering teamwork, unity, and morale. The individual will contribute as a collaborative team player, working alongside colleagues to create a supportive and cohesive work environment. </li><li>Individuals in this position are required to stay current on all training and ongoing education initiatives. They are expected to actively pursue self-improvement and embrace opportunities for continuous learning to enhance their skills and knowledge. </li><li>This position is required to work onsite at the St. Louis Dover Companies headquarters. </li><li>While travel for this role is not anticipated, there may be situations that arise that require this role to travel to an offsite company location.
