No Work Schedule</p> <p>Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week. Occasional additional hours may be required during peak reporting periods or fiscal year-end.</p> <p>Sensitive Position No Job Description</p> <p>Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia's capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. We also believe in providing an ongoing investment in our faculty and staff to deepen their skills and competencies to serve the full range of our student population.</p> <p>The Grants Fiscal Technician supports the Grants Division within the Financial Operations Department by processing grant-related financial transactions, performing reconciliations, and maintaining accurate and compliant financial records. The incumbent communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, support reporting requirements, and ensure the timely and organized management of grant financial data.</p> <p>Special Assignments</p> <p>May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.</p> <p>KSA's/Required Qualifications</p> <p>Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and fiscal practices. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply established financial policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard office systems. </li><li>Ability to perform detailed fiscal work involving numerical data, including accurate arithmetic calculations and reconciliations. </li><li>Experience reviewing, processing, and reconciling financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance. </li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. </li><li>Effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines. </li><li>Experience supporting grant-funded programs or performing grant-related financial processing (preferred). </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li><li>Experience performing fiscal, accounting, or administrative support work </li></ul> <p>Additional Considerations</p> <ul> <li>Coursework or training in accounting, business, or a related field. </li><li>Experience applying fiscal policies and procedures in a public-sector or higher education environment. </li><li>Experience working with automated financial systems. </li><li>Experience with fixed asset or inventory tracking systems. </li><li>Experience supporting grant-funded programs. </li></ul> <p>Operation of a State Vehicle No Supervises Employees No Required Travel</p> <p>Minimal travel may be required for training, meetings, or professional development activities.
