<p>Job Description</p> <p>Description</p> <p>SAIC is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Support Equipment (SE) team located in Lakehurst, NJ. The System Engineer would be responsible for requirements management of platform support equipment from requirements development through system design and testing.</p> <p>Must be local to the Lakehurst, NJ area and onsite a minimum of 4 days a week. Must be a US citizen and able to qualify for a DoD Secret clearance.</p> <p>General Overview:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate, integrate and assist in the management of technical efforts being performed to ensure that identified needs are transformed into effective and life-cycle optimized systems </li><li>Ensure compatibility of all functional and physical interfaces (internal and external) </li><li>Confirm that the system's definition and design reflect the requirements for all systems elements (hardware, software, data, facilities, etc.) </li><li>Ensure that engineering efforts follow the Systems Engineering process tailored to minimize effort and schedule to deliver capability to the fleet </li><li>Lead collaboration with a multifaceted team with many stakeholders (engineering, logistics, manufacturing, contractor, program leadership) in problem solving efforts for designated aspects of complex problems with many competing objectives, variables, and constraints </li><li>Document solutions in relation to the technical, cost, and schedule constraints </li><li>Development and review of various technical documentation, including SERDs, SECLs, change management documentation, presentation materials, and white papers </li><li>Participate in and assist in activities for various segments of program execution, which may include Risk Management, Configuration Management, Data Management, Trade-off Analysis/Trade Studies, Technical Performance Measures, Technical Reviews, and Modeling & Simulation </li><li>Communicate with stakeholders across program offices, fleet, and industry stakeholders </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimum Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in engineering (Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Computer preferred) </li><li>The Systems Engineer shall have a minimum of 5 years of acquisition experience in the systems engineering field for requirements management/verification </li><li>Successful applicants will be familiar with the DoN Systems Engineering Process and the DoN Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) policy and process </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders of varying technical knowledge and viewpoints </li><li>Active Secret clearance is required </li></ul> <p>Target salary range: $80,001 - $120,000.
