<p>Job Requirements</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Pharmacy Training and Schedule Coordinator is responsible for the following functions:</p> <ul> <li>Provides customer service to internal and external Pharmacy customers </li><li>Performs support team functions </li><li>Scheduling support </li><li>Onboarding and training of new pharmacy associates </li><li>Competency assessments </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li><li>Completion of ASHP accredited program </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>4 years of experience in a health-system environment with a minimum of 2 years as a certified pharmacy technician </li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy operations </li><li>Proficient computer skills including typing and Microsoft office </li></ul> <p>License/Registration/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>SC State Certified Registered Technician with the Board of Pharmacy </li></ul> <p>Preferred Requirements</p> <p>Preferred Education</p> <ul> <li>N/A </li></ul> <p>Preferred Experience</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of EPIC electronic health record system </li></ul> <p>Preferred License/Registration/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>N/A </li></ul> <p>Core Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Provides customer service to internal and external Pharmacy customers</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills when dealing with Pharmacy associates or external customers daily. </li><li>Demonstrates ability to build and maintain positive working relationships </li></ul> <p>Maintains competency of pharmacy operations</p> <ul> <li>Knowledgeable of all aspects of pharmacy technician roles- inpatient hospital, medication reconciliation, sterile compounding, non-sterile compounding, pharmacy automation and inventory systems </li><li>Participate in committees to drive improvements within the pharmacy department </li></ul> <p>Performs onboarding and training of pharmacy associates</p> <ul> <li>Provide training for new associates in various areas of pharmacy operation and across all shifts </li><li>Determine training schedules and communicate with trainers and trainee </li><li>Provide ongoing training and assist with competency assessments of pharmacy staff </li><li>Assist with annual updates of training curriculum </li><li>Documentation of training completion and competency sign off </li><li>Onboarding new pharmacy associates to ensure integration into the department </li><li>Mentoring and providing follow up with new associates at 30, 60, 90 days for feedback </li><li>Ongoing assessment of trainers in the department </li><li></li><li>Scheduling and timekeeping assistant/backup </li><li>Updates and adjusts schedule for pharmacists and technicians within Scheduling software </li><li>Serves as Super User/End User trainer for Scheduling and timekeeping software </li><li>Assist as backup to process department's PTO request </li><li>Assist in coordinating coverage for call-ins and posts "coverage needed" messages by email and through scheduling software. </li></ul> <p>Performs support team functions</p> <ul> <li>Actively participates in support team meetings. </li><li>Assists with Daily Operational tasks within the Pharmacy office. </li><li>Effectively performs cross-trained secondary assignments. </li><li>Participates in the Performance Improvement process. </li></ul> <p>Other duties as assigned</p>
