We are actively seeking a Senior Project Manager and Water Resources Engineer with a unique blend of talent for both spearheading high-stakes projects and nurturing client relations with finesse and strategic acuity. You will have the support of Jacobs's lead Water Resources technologists located throughout the United States and around the world.</p> <p>Our Tampa/Sarasota, FL office is looking for someone to help support ongoing surface water, groundwater, and stormwater related projects with many of the Tampa Bay area Clients, who are looking to address growing flood, water supply, and climate related risk. The candidate will support junior and senior engineers and designers in planning and designing projects associated with watershed master planning, hydraulic and hydrologic modeling, groundwater modeling, and drainage improvement projects.</p> <p>As a key member of our Tampa/Sarasota, FL team, you will work under the guidance of Senior Project Managers and Senior Engineers, provide mentorship to those junior to you, and work alongside peers to help you grow your career.</p> <p>Elevate your journey</p> <ul> <li>Lead with innovation and expertise, guiding multidisciplinary teams through the intricacies of project lifecycle management, ensuring every initiative meets its designated targets for scope, schedule, budget, and beyond. </li><li>Champion excellence and client satisfaction, delivering projects that not only meet but exceed expectations, all while adhering to Jacobs' stringent standards for health, safety, quality, and risk management. </li><li>Ignite growth and opportunity, leveraging your strategic insight to secure new contracts through compelling proposals, engaging presentations, and effective negotiations, all founded on deep market understanding and client needs. </li></ul> <p>Here's what you will be doing</p> <ul> <li>Mentor and support junior staff in the local and regional water group. Our Tampa/Sarasota water group is growing and is currently comprised of forty-five engineers and scientists with a wide range of expertise and experience. </li><li>Embark on a journey where leadership meets innovation, spearheading teams to transcend project planning, execution, and culmination, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, budget, and contractual mandate. You will have direct access to Jacobs' well-known, vast network of technical specialists and senior project managers to support your success and career advancement. </li><li>Be accountable for successfully completing projects to the satisfaction of clients and key stakeholders, while simultaneously ensuring that Jacobs' business and policy expectations are met in the areas of health and safety, quality, financial, project delivery, and risk management. </li><li>Play a leadership role in business development activities that result in the award of new contracts. This typically includes client relationship development, project-specific positioning activities, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, oral presentations, and contract negotiations consistent with established business development processes. </li><li>Contribute to the development of a Tampa Bay Region Market Strategy that delivers leading-edge technology solutions for our clients while also actively diversifying and expanding our client base. </li><li>Demonstrate leadership by example with integrity and candor and in support of Jacobs Culture of Caring work environment. </li></ul> <p>Here's what you'll need</p> <ul> <li>B.S. or M.S. degree in related engineering or applicable discipline. </li><li>10+ years of progressive experience with Water Resources and municipal consulting. Progressive experience leading/overseeing small to large projects. </li><li>Knowledge of Hydrologic & Hydraulic (H&H) Analysis and Stormwater System Design. </li><li>Experience with a variety of surface water and groundwater modeling software including ArcGIS, ICPR4, EPA SWMM, HEC-RAS, MODFLOW, Groundwater Vistas. </li><li>Knowledge and advanced use of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint. </li><li>Professional Engineer (PE), Florida (preferred), or ability to obtain within 1 year. </li><li>Attributes that include strong technical writing, communication, and facilitation skills. </li><li>Be self-driven, motivated and able to perform duties independently with minimal guidance in addition to having team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis and technical problem solving, and a strong organizational approach. </li><li>Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships that result in the creation and procurement of new and repeat consulting work. </li><li>Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and leading diverse teams. </li></ul> <p>Ideally, you'll also have</p> <ul> <li>Strong network with Tampa-Bay Region municipalities. </li><li>Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related engineering discipline. </li></ul> <p>If you're up for the challenge, we've been looking for someone just like you.
