<p>Requisition No: 869909</p> <p>Agency: Department of Corrections</p> <p>Working Title: OPERATIONS & MGMT CONSULTANT I - SES</p> <p>Pay Plan: SES</p> <p>Position Number: 70035838</p> <p>Salary: $40,320.81 Annually</p> <p>Posting Closing Date: 03/18/2026</p> <p>Total Compensation Estimator Tool</p> <p>FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS</p> <p>We Never Walk Alone</p> <p>WORKING TITLE: OPERATIONS & MGMT CONSULTANT I</p> <p>This open state advertisement is for a SES (Selected Exempt Service) position located at Central Office in Tallahassee, FL, in Policy Management.</p> <p>The mission of the Policy Management Department in the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is to develop, review, and maintain the Department's policies and procedures to ensure they are clear, consistent, and in compliance with state and federal regulations.</p> <p>This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Form and Policy Development: Administer and monitor the Department's form and policy development process to ensure compliance with all applicable rules, statutes, and standards, recommending form development as needed. </li><li>Forms Control Management: Develop and maintain the Forms Control Catalog, disseminate forms, coordinate with print shops and automation personnel, and prepare "Change Documents" for new organizational processes. </li><li>Procedure Review and Compliance: Independently review and analyze changes to procedures, ensuring compliance with all rules and standards, resolving conflicts, and revising documents for proper formatting and grammar. </li><li>Staff Consultation and Assistance: Work cooperatively with staff, providing consultation and assistance to resolve administrative and operational issues, and assist in formulating policies for bargaining unit employees. </li><li>Database and Information Management: Maintain technical expertise to ensure database functionality, prepare responses to form-related inquiries, and maintain an up-to-date library of Policy and Procedure Directives. </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <ul> <li>Paid vacation, sick leave, and holidays. </li><li>Comprehensive health insurance and life insurance with accidental death and dismemberment benefits. </li><li>Supplemental Dental, Vision, Life, Disability and Hospitalization insurance. </li><li>Tuition-Free college courses. </li><li>Retirement Plans with the Florida Retirement System: </li><li></li><li>Pension Plan (Traditional Retirement Pension Plan) </li><li>Investment Plan (401(K)-Type Retirement Plan) </li><li>Deferred Retirement Option Program (Drop) </li><li>Deferred Compensation </li><li>Recently Retired?
