<p>Duties</p> <p>Prairie Hill School District is seeking a dynamic and innovative Lab Teacher to inspire and educate students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hands-on/Project Based Learning, possess a strong understanding of STEM concepts, and be committed to fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment. Prairie Hill School District Teachers are driven by our district's mission statement of 'Students First, Always'. PHSD #133 Teachers should have a positive demeanor and the ability to work both independently and closely with the administration, teachers, and students. Job duties include, but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement engaging and challenging STEM curriculum aligned with national and state standards </li><li>Design and conduct hands-on experiments, projects, and activities that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity </li><li>Integrate technology effectively into the curriculum to enhance student learning </li><li>Create and maintain a safe and organized lab environment </li><li>Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles </li><li>Facilitate student-led inquiry and exploration </li><li>Guide students in the use of laboratory equipment and technology </li><li>Provide individualized support and guidance to students as needed </li><li>Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported </li><li>Maintain and organize laboratory equipment and supplies </li><li>Ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures </li><li>Manage inventory and order necessary materials </li><li>Analyze assessment data to inform instruction and guide student learning </li><li>Provide constructive feedback to students on their performance </li><li>Ability to problem solve, and think outside of the box. </li><li>Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate STEM concepts across the curriculum </li><li>Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and activities </li><li>Participate in professional development activities to enhance STEM teaching skills and knowledge </li><li>Potentially work with outside STEM related organizations to bring more resources to the students </li><li>Integrate Social Studies and Science topics throughout the curriculum </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Qualified applicants must possess a PEL and certifications where necessary.
