<p>My name is Lauren Fink and I am the director of Ektrepho ministries. Ektre-what? Ektrepho. Actually, Ektrepho is a Greek word that means nourish. In every season of life, it is so important to nourish our souls and have regular opportunities to worship, learn, and spend time with Jesus. Sadly, many seniors residing in assisted living facilities or nursing homes do not have access to church services or times of worship. So, out of this need, the nonprofit Ektrepho was born. Our mission is to provide spiritual nourishment through worship services, devotional times, and Bible studies, to seniors in assisted living facilities. We currently serve in nine different assisted living facilities, with our current service times on Sundays and Thursdays.</p> <p>As a nonprofit, there are many different leadership and growth opportunities, so we are offering an internship! If you are looking to learn various facets of ministry, this opportunity is for you! Some of the skills you can learn include, but are not limited to: leading worship services, worship service planning, devotional/sermon preparation, graphic design through social media and website management, writing policy and procedures, preparing consistent email communications, supporter engagement, and fundraising strategies.</p> <p>Salary: Hourly</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>be a devoted follower of Jesus </li><li>be kind, compassionate, and personable with the seniors in our ministry </li><li>be teachable </li><li>have Sunday morning availability </li><li>(preferred, not required) have some have experience leading worship (singing and playing guitar or piano) </li><li>(preferred, not required) have some have experience teaching Bible studies, leading devotionals, or preaching </li></ul> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>Please include a cover letter when applying for this internship.
