The Bakery Manager manages the bakery department to promote sales, achieve profit margins, labor goals and ensure a positive shopping experience for customers, and a safe and positive working environment for associates.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Positively effective department labor and productivity factors through efficient task organization and delegation </li><li>Train and evaluate bakery department personnel </li><li>Assist with customer questions or requests </li><li>Plan, set, and maintain bakery cases </li><li>Organize, direct and assist with daily department functions </li><li>Performs baking and product preparation </li><li>Monitor and assist in directing bakery department sanitation to ensure proper condition </li><li>Order and receive bakery shipments correctly </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Equipment operation (shrink wrap, label machine, bread slicer, knives, bakery racks, etc.) </li><li>Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time </li><li>Able to work in various temperatures and wet surfaces </li><li>The position requires ongoing customer interaction, providing prompt, courteous and accurate service. </li><li>Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available. </li><li>Have the ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing. </li><li>Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends and holidays. </li><li>Must be 18 years of age and older. </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Walking on uneven ground </li><li>Reaching, bending, turning, repetitive motions </li><li>Extended exposure to varied temperatures and wet surfaces </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Open availability required for position </li><li>At least one evening shift between Friday to Sunday </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Flexible schedule for work life balance </li><li>Employee discount </li><li>Weekly pay on a progressive union scale </li><li>Union benefits for eligible associates including Paid Time Off </li></ul> <p>My Cub.
