This community's appeal continues to grow as exciting new developments are underway near the AdventHealth Minneola campus. </li><li>AdventHealth Minneola's 80-bed hospital will bring inpatient care to the growing population of South Lake County. Spanning approximately 204,000 square feet, the hospital will include an emergency department; full-service imaging; five operating suites; endoscopy services; outpatient laboratory; heart catheterization labs; critical care and general medical/surgical rooms. We are proud to be delivering clinical solutions for the mind, body and spirit in the Minneola community. </li></ul> <p>The role you'll contribute:</p> <p>Supports operating room staff by maintaining a safe environment and delivering quality patient care.</p> <p>The value you'll bring to the team:</p> <ul> <li>Assists nursing staff with patient care by positioning and transferring anesthetized patients and supporting limbs during surgical skin preps </li><li>When assisting patient, staff is aware of the sterile boundaries within the operating room when supplies are opened </li><li>Delivers specimens and blood products to labs </li><li>Ensures stretchers and oxygen tanks are readily available for patient transport </li><li>Maintains surgical machines/equipment and prepares operating suites• May assist in delivery of medications </li><li>Efficient and organized in skills to assist team with safe and appropriate turnovers. Utilizes knowledge of cleaning protocols for all types of specialty surgical equipment </li><li>Can articulate department goals and metrics for first cases starts and turnover times and contributes ideas for improvement </li><li>Performs terminal cleaning of operating rooms as assigned </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:</p> <p>Knowledge and Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively in order to carry out job requirements </li><li>Knowledge of sterile technique and operating room environment </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Skills Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Organizational skills </li><li>Current knowledge of medical terminology </li><li>Computer skills </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Required :</p> <ul> <li>n/a </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>High School Education or equivalent </li><li>One year of technical experience </li></ul> <p>LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification </li></ul> <p>This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
