You would serve as a resource to physicians in relation to technical aspects of respiratory care and to hospital staff regarding effective and safe methods of administering respiratory therapy. The Licensed Respiratory Therapist assists patients with airway management and performs other duties as needed.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications Reassignment: Current New York State Department of Health Helen Hayes Hospital employee with permanent or contingent permanent status as a Respiratory Therapist.</p> <p>HELPS: Possession of a license and current registration as a respiratory therapist in New York State.</p> <p>Additional Comments One permanent competitive full-time appointment or non-competitive, full-time appointment via HELPS.</p> <p>Degrees awarded from educational institutions outside of the United States, or its territories must be independently verified for equivalency.
