Colson Group's unique and proprietary global footprint provides available services and capabilities unmatched by any other manufacturer.</p> <p>Colson Group is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer in our Jonesboro, AR facility. The Manufacturing Engineer manages projects in all areas of Saint Joseph manufacturing and facilities. Must be able to provide technical support for all manufacturing functions.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Manages projects for new machines, new products, building improvements, repairs, modifications, fixtures, etc. </li><li>Works closely with Quality, Production, Engineering, and Vendors to ensure a successful process/product launch. </li><li>Works closely with Maintenance Department to reduce machine downtime, and ordering materials. </li><li>Develops / Determines the processes, identifies the materials and supplies to be used, and designs appropriate fixtures necessary for efficient and cost effective manufacturing. </li><li>Aids / Reviews product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods. </li><li>Perform time studies to establish standard production rates and to improve efficiencies. </li><li>Estimate production times, staffing requirements, and related costs for management decisions. </li><li>Abids by all Colson policies and procedures. </li><li>Manufacturing Areas: Safety, Light/Medium duty assembly, Welding, Stamping, Robotics, Pneumatics, Electronics, etc. </li><li>Facility Areas: HVAC Systems, Compressors, Grease Systems, Lighting, Racking, Sewer, Roofing, Environmental, etc. </li><li>Other duties may be assigned, as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>4-year engineering degree or equivalent, electrical or mechanical, chemical or industrial preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. </li></ul> <p>Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Must have basic Microsoft Office skills including excel, word, outlook, power point, etc. </li><li>Read, analyze, and interpret common industrial, manufacturing and technical procedures, professional journals, schematics, diagrams, drawings, and blueprints. </li><li>Have working knowledge of the following computer applications: word processor, spreadsheet, database, computer-assisted design or draw program, and publishing program. </li><li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and carry short distance if required. </li><li>Must be reliable. </li><li>Must be able to multi-task often due to high paced manufacturing environment. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>General office - work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. </li><li>Factory - time on the factory floor will be expected. Work environment can be loud at times, standing for long periods or walking for short distances may be required depending on the task at hand. Standard PPE provided: Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Steel Toe shoes. </li></ul>
