<p>About the Job</p> <p>General Statement of Responsibilities (broad definition):</p> <p>Provide professional pharmacy services at Boynton Health under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.</p> <p>Detailed Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Enter, verify, fill, and check prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist for dispensing to patients per pharmacy procedures and protocols, as well as state and federal laws. </li><li>Process prescriptions employing the pharmacy's current pharmacy software system. </li><li>Answer the phone to receive phoned-in prescriptions from providers, complete prescription transfers, and respond to requests within the confines of state and federal privacy laws. </li><li>Perform DUR and Quality Assurance under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. </li><li>Document patient and prescriber interactions in patient profile. </li><li>Assist pharmacy technicians in the return-to-stock process for prescriptions that are not picked up by patients. </li><li>Check for outdated, or soon to be outdated, drugs in all areas of the pharmacy on a regular basis. </li><li>Serve as a medication information resource for patients, Boynton Health staff and outside providers under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. </li><li>Counsel each patient regarding use and precautions for their new prescriptions. </li><li>Prepare orders of vaccines and station stocks for all BH clinics, including the Minneapolis College and BH St Paul Clinics. </li><li>Order medication and prepare orders for U of MN research departments. </li><li>Verify and dispense prescriptions for a public health tuberculosis program under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. </li><li>Promote a safe, equitable, and respectful environment in which concerns can be addressed effectively. </li><li>Other duties and special projects as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Enrolled in College of Pharmacy </li><li>Current Minnesota Pharmacist Intern Licensure </li><li>Demonstrated commitment to promoting a culture that respects and advances diversity and inclusion </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. </li><li>Experience working with transgender patients. </li><li>Experience providing, documenting and billing for Medication Therapy Management. </li></ul> <p>About the Department</p> <p>About Boynton Health</p> <p>Boynton.umn.edu</p> <p>Boynton Health's mission is to improve the health and wellbeing of University of Minnesota students and the campus community.
