This position is responsible for developing and maintaining departmental documentation content (e.g., intranets, web pages, technical manuals/docs, videos, presentations, news) for various technical systems and/or equipment categories (e.g., laser printers, network devices, installations).</p> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Planning and gathering content requirements from various sources (e.g., engineering documents, manufacturer documents) </li><li>Preparing, designing, writing, and publishing content on a SharePoint site for technicians, engineers, help desk analysts, etc. </li><li>Collecting and analyzing feedback from trainers, engineers, etc. to enhance documentation of content </li><li>Conducting periodic reviews of documentation to maintain, edit, and republish up-to-date and accurate content (e.g., accurate procedures, installation methods, equipment details) </li><li>Advising PTS leadership on how to better our content creation and publication </li><li>Contributing to or facilitating improvement efforts involving department wide processes that impact retail and corporate associates </li><li>Creating departmental outreach content (articles, video's) to celebrate associate, team, and department milestones </li><li>Developing and assisting with the implementation of team and/or department standards, policies, and processes </li><li>Technical document control and the publication of various forms of technical communication </li><li>Acting as a SME on technical communication related issues (e.g., methods of documenting and publishing content, solutions for specific audiences) </li></ul> <p>Additional Information</p> <p>Your application may have additional steps that you will need to complete in order to remain eligible for consideration. Once your application has been successfully submitted you will receive a confirmation email.</p> <p>Please note that Publix will not sponsor any hire for this position for a visa or permanent residence</p> <ul> <li>Relocation/Household Good Shipment Allowance will NOT be provided.* </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate degree in any area or field </li><li>2+ years of experience in technical writing, Intranet design, video editing, and multimedia development </li><li>Detailed knowledge of communication theory and organizational writing to create effective communication materials (e.g., audience analysis, message analysis, clear/ concise writing) </li><li>Knowledge of methods of message development for various types of communication media to create effective communication materials (e.g., training vs reference writing, video vs text/photo, technical vs news writing) </li><li>Knowledge of graphic design and presentation techniques to create effective communication materials </li><li>Detailed knowledge of cloud/web-based information management, application design, and intranet administration techniques to create and update content for intranets </li></ul> <p>Solid understanding of the functional and operational practices necessary to operate in a highly available, highly secure, and highly regulated environment to meet business and compliance requirements</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in technical writing, Intranet design, video editing, and multimedia development </li><li>Experience with compliance and regulatory security requirements </li><li>Experience working in an environment conducive to process improvement </li></ul>
