Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Coordinates and participates in activities that promote the availability of counseling services such as individual student/parent sessions, orientations, informal classroom visits, faculty/staff meetings, etc. </li><li>Maintains a current reference bank of available community resources for referral purposes. </li><li>Serves as a 504 Case Manager. </li><li>Facilitates pertinent activities to promote and improve the students' personal and professional development through individual student counseling sessions, parental contacts/meetings and mentoring. </li><li>Assists students with academic challenges - study skills, tutoring and special needs mentors. </li><li>Serves as an advocate for the needs of the student. </li><li>Provides students with information regarding post-high school training. </li><li>Conferences with parents, students and instructors as needed to assist students optimize their educational experience. </li><li>Develops and executes short and long-range objectives to ensure students' success. </li><li>Assists in resolving students' concerns to ensure resolution toward corrective action. </li><li>Addresses student grievances as applicable. </li><li>Advises students who have credit deficiency, academic problems or attendance problems to ensure resolution toward corrective action. </li><li>Monitors attendance and academic progress of students and provides written or verbal communication to disseminate information concerning the students' academic status and provide follow up as necessary. </li><li>Serves as a key resource in the development of academic advisement by participating in staff meetings and curriculum planning activities. </li><li>Assists with the placement of students based on individual student needs. </li><li>Assists with student re-entry efforts to increase enrollment and retention. </li><li>Performs research and responds to students' concerns regarding financial matters. </li><li>Mentors Counselor Interns as well as new staff members as applicable. </li><li>Provides regularly scheduled supervision of students in critical areas of the building. </li><li>Attends and contributes ideas during weekly briefings with the administrative team. </li><li>Maintains up to date knowledge of technology utilized by the district. </li><li>Must satisfy all job-related attendance requirements. </li><li>A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment. </li></ul> <p>Availability of Position: August 2025</p> <p>Salary Range: Minimum $47,939.55</p> <p>Placement on the salary schedule is commensurate with work experience in the field - 185-day contract.
