<p>Department</p> <p>Interventional Rad Support</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Professionally interviews patients, obtains complete and accurate information for patient procedures in Interventional Radiology. Schedules appointments for outpatient appointments/tests. Coordinates patient schedules to coordinate with Interventional Radiology and the I.R. Radiologists to maximize patient and physician satisfaction. Schedules Anesthesia and PAT for patients. Schedules company representatives to be present for certain procedures. Introduces patient to the facility in a manner designed to reduce patient anxiety and improve patient satisfaction. Communicates patient instructions, directions and physician order requirement to patients, physician office staff and other SMHCS personnel</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Require one (1) year experience in health care-related industry. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prefer knowledge of medical terminology. </li><li>Prefer previous appointment scheduling and/or registration experience. </li><li>Prefer typing skills of at least 40 words per minute. </li><li>Prefer general knowledge of patient medications and the potential effect on scheduled procedures. </li><li>Prefer excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with referring physician offices and patients to accurately and efficiently schedule interventional radiology procedures. </li><li>Prefer demonstrated ability to work independently and set priorities. </li><li>Prefer ability to be tactful, diplomatic, and handle any situation with professionalism. </li></ul> <p>Mandatory Education</p> <p>HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate</p> <p>Preferred Education</p> <p>Required License and Certs</p> <p>Preferred License and Certs</p> <p>CMA: Certified Medical Assistant</p> <p>CNA: Certified Nursing Assistant</p> <p>FL LPN: Florida Lic Practical Nur</p> <p>FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License</p> <p>PMD: Paramedic</p> <p>M-F 8-4:30</p> <p>Employment Screening Requirements</p> <p>As part of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System's commitment to keeping people safe, all individuals providing care to vulnerable populations are required to undergo background screening through The Florida Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse. https://info.flclearinghouse.com/</p>
