<p>REPORTS TO: Manufacturing Manager</p> <p>FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non Exempt</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: This position will primarily perform manual (non-CNC) machining operations.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Perform Machinist Operations: · Conduct all set-up and quality operations in support of machining for self and others. Set-up and operate machines in accordance with travelers and any other required paperwork (i.e. drawings, specifications, etc.). · Create, edit and/or retrieve programs from system files and execute. · Manufacture product that meets quality requirements. Inspect and verify work prior to submitting for inspection. · Meet time and schedule standards for assigned task </li><li>Properly use the E2 management system to record job information </li><li>Advise supervision of issues that arise </li><li>Identify issues and opportunities in meeting cost requirements of assigned work </li><li>Identify set-up reduction opportunities and Lean process opportunities and communicate to proper 6S team leads </li><li>Keep equipment clean and maintain proper fluid levels </li><li>Return all fixtures and tooling upon job completion </li></ul> <p>ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBLITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assume other responsibilities as required </li></ul> <p>PRIMARY PERFORMANCE PARAMETERS:</p> <ul> <li>Meet the required delivery dates for all assigned jobs </li><li>Meet customer delivery requirements </li><li>Meet quality requirements of all assigned processes </li><li>Conduct all operations in a safe manner </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>A genuine belief in continuous improvement and disciplined processes and a willingness to analyze, challenge and change processes, if needed, to create a more efficient environment and culture </li><li>Organizational and time management skills </li><li>Self starter with ability to multi-task and prioritize work day/projects independently </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills </li><li>Knowledge and use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments; Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales </li><li>Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on other various machines </li><li>Basic math skills, to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>3 years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environment or manufacturing and technology degree </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATION/LICENSE REQUIRED:</p> <ul> <li>Valid driver's license </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
