<p>Position Purpose/Summary</p> <p>This is seasonal, part-time work in the maintenance of the City's golf courses.Work is performed under supervision, in accordance with standard practices and procedures. No supervision is exercised over other employees.</p> <p>This posting is for positions at both the Veteran's Memorial Golf Course and Franconia Golf Course.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Maintains golf courses by cutting grass, tees, fairways and greens </li><li>Plants and transplants flowers; weeds and waters flower beds </li><li>Picks up trash and empties trash bins </li><li>Cleans machinery and tools </li><li>Performs related work as required </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Considerable knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, equipment, and processes and techniques of the work performed </li><li>Considerable knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions involved in work performed </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and facility users </li><li>Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions </li><li>Skill in the use and care of tools, equipment, and materials employed in the work performed </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred </li><li>One year experience in golf course or similar maintenance preferred </li></ul>
