<p>Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position of Administrative Support Assistant III on the Cocoa Campus in Cocoa, Florida.</p> <p>Salary & Benefit</p> <p>The annual salary is $34,669.00. Successful internal candidates for external job postings should be aware that their current salary does not transfer to the new position. Salary will be as advertised in the job announcement. Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.</p> <p>Position Concept</p> <p>To perform clerical work, which involves moderately complex details and methodologies. To ensure that responses to immediate situations or emergencies are effectively accomplished by staff and provide technical and administrative direction to such efforts as required.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>The following minimum qualifications for this position must be met before any applicant will be considered:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required. </li><li>Associate degree from a regionally-accredited institution preferred. </li><li>Five years related work experience/office management, administrative and clerical experience. </li><li>Ability to use a PC, software programs, typewriter and office machines. </li><li>Proficient in word processing, computer applications in office technology, presentations software, graphic design, spreadsheets and databases including Outlook, Banner, Microsoft Office and other computer-based student information systems. </li><li>Filing and telephone skills. </li><li>Ability to work well with all levels of personnel and customers in a courteous and professional manner. </li><li>Ability to work effectively in a diverse community and meet the needs of diverse student populations. </li><li>Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator's license required. </li><li>A review of Social Media activity will be part of the candidate evaluation process. </li><li>This position will require successful fingerprinting and the candidate chosen will be required to pay the associated fee (currently $36.00).This fingerprinting fee ($36.00) is non-refundable. </li><li>Understanding of and commitment to Equal Access/Equal Opportunity. </li><li>Official transcripts of all collegiate work will be required to be considered beyond the application phase.* </li><li>High School Diploma or GED or transcripts or official transcripts of all collegiate work (as appropriate for the position) must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Human Resources Office prior to the first day of employment. All foreign degrees must have a course-by-course official evaluation and translation sent to the Human Resources Office directly from an evaluation company affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. </li></ul> <p>Minimum physical qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. </li><li>Ability to lift, push, pull, or move up to 40 pounds. </li><li>Ability to access, input, and retrieve information and/or data from computer. </li><li>Works inside an office environment. </li></ul> <p>Notes</p> <p>Applications will be accepted from December 9, 2025, through January 7, 2026; however, the College reserves the right to extend or conclude searches without notice. This is a covered position under Chapter 295 Florida Statutes, which provides for Veterans' Preference in employment for eligible veterans and eligible spouses of veterans.</p>
