<p>The Alternative Education Teacher is responsible for providing instructional support to students in grades 6-12 who are enrolled in an alternative education program. This role focuses on addressing the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of students who may be at risk of not succeeding in a traditional school setting. The teacher creates a flexible program and classroom environment favorable to individualized instruction and personal growth.</p> <p>? Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.</p> <p>? Use alternative and innovative instructional methods to reach diverse learners.</p> <p>? Manage a multi-grade classroom environment.</p> <p>? Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behavior.</p> <p>? Collaborate with counselors, administrators, families, and outside agencies to support student success.</p> <p>? Create and maintain a structured, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.</p> <p>? Support students with social-emotional learning, conflict resolution, and goal-setting.</p> <p>? Facilitate credit recovery and individualized education plans as needed.</p> <p>? Monitor and report progress toward IEP/504 goals (if applicable).</p> <p>? Participate in professional development and contribute to school improvement efforts.</p> <p>? Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations.</p> <p>? Monitor student progress and completions of credits in Edmentum</p> <p>? Communicate consistently with MS/HS counselors regarding student progress</p> <p>Health, Dental.
