<p>Position Title:</p> <p>Payroll Specialist II</p> <p>Pay Rate:</p> <p>52,100 to 69,500</p> <p>Multiple factors, including individual experience, skills, and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.</p> <p>Category:</p> <p>Salary Full-Time</p> <p>Physical Location:</p> <p>International Paper - Port Wentworth Mill</p> <p>1 Bonnybridge Rd</p> <p>Port Wentworth, GA 31407</p> <p>The Job You Will Perform:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for a variety of routine and some non-routine accounting/clerical functions in accordance with standard procedures in one or more of the following areas: payroll, general accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and/or forecasting </li><li>Perform daily financial activities of the mill </li><li>Ensure accurate and timely processing of daily, weekly, and monthly reports </li><li>Responsible for reconciling payroll prior to processing </li><li>May use software packages to compute withholdings and deductions where multiple tax laws are involved as well as payments on sales draws and commissions </li><li>Handle off cycle checks </li><li>Use WorkBrain application effectively to run reports, enter employee holidays, add vacation records, etc. </li><li>Coordinate with HR Team for act ivies regarding wage increases, employee reports, certification increases or decreases, and short-term disability </li><li>Assist with month-end close under direction of the Mill Controller </li><li>Responsible for entering and keeping records of chemical receipt information within the SAP system </li></ul> <p>The Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge You Will Bring:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred </li><li>3+ years of payroll related experience required </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of all Microsoft Office </li><li>Proficiency using spreadsheets, database, and word processing software </li><li>Ability to work independently </li><li>Time Management, Organization, Results Oriented, Communication, Priority Setting, Works Well with Others </li></ul> <p>The Career You Will Build:</p> <ul> <li>Leadership training </li><li>Promotional opportunities </li></ul> <p>The Benefits You Will Enjoy:</p> <p>International Paper offers a benefits package that includes health, welfare and retirement plans including Medical, Dental, Life insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts, Short-term and Long-term Disability, 401(k), Company-funded retirement contributions, Paid Time Off, Education & Development (including Tuition Reimbursement), Student Loan Repayment Assistance, and Voluntary Benefits including insurance for home, auto, vision and pets.</p> <p>The Impact You Will Make:</p> <p>We continue to build a better future for people, the plant, and our company!
