Click here for more information on compensation for these roles. </li><li>In addition to competitive compensation, DPS has other Total Reward offerings such as; time off, health and wellness benefits, and PERA Retirement. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct supervision of Itinerant Teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Itinerants Teachers of the Visually Impaired/Orientation and Mobility Specialists, Center-Based Teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, Educational Audiologists, Senior Team Leads, Educational Sign Language Interpreters, ASL Specialist, Deaf-Blind Interveners, Itinerant paraprofessionals and Educational Braillists. </li><li>Demonstrate leadership in developing and implementing departmental practices, policies, and procedures. Plan, coordinate and conduct departmental meetings, committees, advisory groups such as the Department Leadership Team and professional development. </li><li>Organize and manage departmental budgets, including operational costs, payroll and school assignment FTEs. </li><li>Identify department priorities for improving student outcomes and align department goals with the DPS Thrives: A Strategic Roadmap to the Denver Public Schools Experience </li><li>Provide guidance, feedback and advice to staff regarding hearing and vision educational services, including their role within the MTSS, IEP and Section 504 processes and knowledge of professional ethics, federal and state policies and procedures. </li><li>Guide and support staff regarding departmental assessment materials including their administration, scoring, interpretation and, if applicable, computer scoring software. </li><li>Support with establishing and maintaining an inventory of educational equipment and curriculum. </li><li>Work collaboratively with principals, Exceptional Student Services leaders and specialists, school staff, other SSP departments, community groups and organizations who serve students with vision and/or hearing loss. </li><li>Collect data on staff caseloads/workloads and collect data to measure and drive service delivery strategies. </li><li>Support staff in utilizing Enrich, Infinite Campus, Oracle, GPS, and EZ EdMed. </li><li>Maintain and update departmental websites. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree in Deaf, Vision, or Educational Audiology is required </li><li>Two (2+) years of experience in Deaf/Hard of Hearing or Vision Education or Educational Audiology </li><li>Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in our community, along with believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high quality education. </li><li>Live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with us. </li><li>Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position. </li></ul> <p>Denver Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, gender expression, and sexual orientation), parental status, national origin, age, disability, genetic information (including family medical history), political affiliation, military service, or any other status protected by law or regulations.
