<p>General Job Information</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>This position is located in the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to be used agency wide. The mission of the DMV is to promote the safe operation of motor vehicles and public safety while providing outstanding customer service. The purpose of this position assesses vehicles with 10 or more motor vehicle infractions within a consecutive 6-month period to subject to immobilization and impoundment</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Develop detailed plans,tasks, milestone dates,and schedules to ensure properoperation of the VPS program. Establishes criteria to measure and/or predict the attainment of program goals and objectives. Coordinates work to be accomplished by staff, and solves complex problems associated with work operations, and evaluates program performance Assures compliance with Federal and local regulations, policies, and guidelines by reviewing the program operation and mission. Analyze operating methodsand procedures, such as recordsmanagement, form design, testing, and reporting procedures as needed and recommend changes, as appropriate. Coordinate regular information planning sessions, maintain productive interaction with agencies' staff and vendors, reports on the status and progress of work accomplished to date, and monitors work in progress. Collaborate with department staff in the drafting of guidance and direction regarding program management and reporting.</p> <p>Participate in meetingswith internal staff and representatives from agencies and industry to determine program status, major milestones, and coordination of each to detect in advance potential impediments or increased costs; and to ascertain appropriate action required to maintainor improve the program. Identifies actual and potential problem areas, trends, and deficiencies in the program; and makes recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness. Take actions necessary to correct any identified problem areas and make recommendations for actions, when adjustments, or a different course of action is necessary.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION</p> <p>Specialized Experience: Specialized Experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, one (1) year of specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression.</p> <p>LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION</p> <p>None</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>The work is performed in an adequately heated, lighted and ventilated non-smoking environment.
