<p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Student Support & Customer Service</p> <ul> <li>Provide timely and friendly assistance to students and families in person, over the phone, and via email. </li><li>Counsel students and families on financial aid processes, including application status, required documentation, and loan program options. </li><li>Stay current with federal and state regulations related to student financial aid and serve as a resource for related inquiries. </li></ul> <p>Office Operations & Administrative Support</p> <ul> <li>Oversee general office functions, including answering phones, processing mail, monitoring the office email account, and ordering supplies. </li><li>Coordinate scanning and uploading of student documents to ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping. </li><li>Manage inventory and annual updates of printed office publications. </li><li>Perform additional administrative duties as assigned to support the Financial Aid Office and enrollment team. </li><li>Financial Aid Processing & Communications </li><li>Generate and distribute financial aid award offers to students. </li><li>Process aid adjustments, cancellations, and related notifications using institutional systems and reporting tools (e.g., PCB processing). </li><li>Process and apply outside scholarship funds, including Gear Up, DVR, and AmeriCorps. </li></ul> <p>Student Employment Coordination</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary coordinator for Carroll University's student employment program. </li><li>Assist departments and students with student employment processes, documentation, and compliance. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma/GED required; bachelor's degree preferred. </li><li>Minimum of one year of experience in an office or administrative setting required. </li><li>Familiarity with financial aid forms, programs, and processes preferred. </li><li>Ability to interpret and apply federal regulations governing financial aid programs. </li><li>Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Technology Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. </li><li>Ability to use University software to create & maintain student financial aid records. </li></ul> <p>Human Relations Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Excellent analytical, critical thinking and organizational skills. </li><li>Effectively and professionally communicate with staff regarding financial aid. </li><li>Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability, socio-economic background, or job type. </li><li>Ability to build strong relationships with leadership, management, students, parents, faculty, and staff through a consultative, collaborative and active problem-solving approach. </li><li>Sensitivity to the needs of students, parents and colleagues. </li><li>Ability to communicate with students and their families effectively and professionally when appropriate. </li><li>Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, organize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment. </li><li>Maintain a high level of confidentiality. </li><li>Excellent professional judgement. </li><li>Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed. </li><li>Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission. </li></ul> <p>Compliance:</p> <ul> <li>Employees may be required to report violations of law under Title IX and the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
