<p>Assistant Safety Director</p> <p>Safety Department</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>We are looking for an Assistant Safety Director to join our Safety team on our project in Reno,NV. This is a full-time, in-person position.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Lead and manage on-site safety efforts on large-scale mission-critical, aviation, and other complex projects by collaborating with project superintendents, project managers, and client safety representatives to execute Holder's "Plan. Execute. Learn" Safety Culture. </li><li>Implement industry best practices to promote a world-class safety culture focused on preventing serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs). </li><li>Manage and mentor trade partners to ensure robust and effective safety programs on-site. </li><li>Provide technical expertise to proactively manage hazardous energy control, crane lifts, and other high-risk activities by ensuring appropriate safety controls are in place. </li><li>Manage site-specific insurance programs and assist with case/injury management. </li><li>Track and analyze safety data to proactively manage safety efforts. </li><li>Oversee safety material and equipment procurement to support project needs and Holder self-perform work. </li><li>Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA and company policies. </li><li>Coordinate on-site training, wellness programs, and Holder/client-driven safety initiatives. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>5-15 years of construction safety experience managing complex, large-scale projects (e.g., mission-critical, heavy industrial, oil/gas). </li><li>Formal safety training and competency in hazardous energy control, LOTO, scaffolding, crane management, steel erection, emergency response, fall management, excavation and confined space, rigging, hazardous waste, and erosion control. </li><li>Ability to identify and correct safety deficiencies in the field. </li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other technology tools supporting safety efforts. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Experience with a general contractor and managing large safety teams. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or related field. </li><li>Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, SMS). </li></ul> <p>#LI-ND1</p> <p>Assistant Safety Director</p> <p>Safety Department</p> <p>About the Role</p> <p>We are looking for an Assistant Safety Director to join our Safety team on our project in Reno,NV.
