We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership, preventative health care and health-related educational opportunities for our clients.</p> <p>Licensed Veterinary Technician</p> <p>Byram Animal Hospital in Byram Township, NJ</p> <p>Salary: $21-23/hr based on experience</p> <p>Schedule: Weekdays 8a-5p, Sat 8-12p</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Assisting the Doctors in appointments </li><li>Take patient histories from clients for appointments </li><li>Technician appointments </li><li>Various housekeeping duties (laundry, dishes, taking out garbage, etc.) </li><li>Communicating with clients via phone and in-person </li><li>Executing treatment orders, canine and Feline vaccine knowledge and schedule </li><li>Demonstrate excellent relations with clients/pets in waiting and/or exam rooms </li><li>Prepares patient files and charts </li><li>Answers client's inquiries about basic animal care questions and routine procedures </li><li>Educates clients on over-the-counter products such as flea and tick preventions </li><li>Receives and relays telephone, fax, and email messages accurately and promptly </li><li>Maintain accuracy with cash drawer, credit card-scratch pay and CareCredit transactions </li><li>This position requires the ability to sit, walk, squat, bend, stand, reach, lift and type </li></ul> <p>follow up appointments</p> <ul> <li>Monitor anesthesia for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures </li><li>Perform routine and advanced treatments and procedures, including injections, oral medications, blood draws, basic pharmacology and bandaging </li><li>Provide comfort, love, and a skilled hand to patients </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Previous experience working as a licensed Veterinary Technician/Surgery Technician is required </li><li>Laser therapy experience preferred but not required </li></ul> <p>BENEFITS</p> <p>We're passionate about helping you reach your greatest potential - both at work and at home.
