<p>Job Title: Field Service Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting access controls and locking mechanisms, as well as managing air flow, lighting controls, HVAC systems, and plumbing.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform preventative maintenance on all products according to specifications and predetermined schedule. </li><li>Provide warranty service and support on all products according to specifications. </li><li>Provide emergency service and support on all products according to specifications. </li><li>Review system installations and begin system commissioning. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Troubleshooting </li><li>Field service </li><li>Mechanical </li><li>Electrical </li><li>HVAC </li><li>Repair </li><li>Maintenance technician </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2 years of field service experience </li><li>Minimum 2 years of experience reading blueprints </li><li>Minimum 2 years working around HVAC or plumbing, or equivalent hobby experience </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This is not a labor-intensive field service role. You will primarily work with clients in labs, including animal research labs at institutions such as UW-Madison, Yale, Harvard, and pharmaceutical companies. The position requires up to 100% travel, with expenses such as flights and per diem for hotel and food covered by the company. While you will need to pay upfront for meals, hotel, and rental cars, approximately $2500 a month on a card, you will be provided with a company vehicle, which is a small van. Expect to work approximately 400-500 hours a year, with a higher number of hours during training purposes. Occasionally, you may need to stay through a weekend, but time off will be provided on the other end.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
