<p>The Development Project Manager (Data Center Design) is primarily responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on a given project(s) in their related field. The Project Manager will interact daily with Facilities, Contractors, Architects, Designers, Engineers, Commissioning Agents, Vendors, and Data Center Operations staff and should have both written and oral communication skills commensurate with this level of regular communication.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Review drawing packages for adherence to design standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with internal and external design teams to evaluate designs to ensure they meet the established design standards, local code requirements, and requirements of the local AHJs.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope requirements, deviations from the standards, and communicating requirements with the design team.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to answer requests for information and value engineering queries.</p> </li><li> <p>Support project teams in resolving design issues discovered during construction and commissioning phases.</p> </li><li> <p>Work with consultants to develop and review architectural, civil, or structural calculations for adherence to the design standards.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage the standards process including design drawings, specifications, BOD's, SOO's, BIM models, etc.</p> </li></ul> <p>BASIC QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience</p> </li><li> <p>Five or more years of professional experience in design architecture or the construction industry, related to all aspects of project design.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for use in communicating project updates and MS Excel to summarize design deliverables and calculations</p> </li><li> <p>Desire to pursue career in property design / engineering / development / construction</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to travel up to 25% of the time. Average travel anticipated to be every month for 2-3 days.</p> </li><li> <p>US Citizenship for this position is required by law due to federal customer contracts.</p> </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience designing and managing architectural, civil, or structural systems for Data Centers, construction, operations, and/or facility maintenance.</p> </li><li> <p>Project Management or Project Lead experience in large-scale projects.</p> </li><li> <p>Direct experience in the construction of data centers, critical medical, industrial, construction, oil and gas, or large-scale buildings.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of Architectural, Civil, or Structural industry standards, procedures, and methodologies</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with performance-based alternatives to prescriptive architectural, civil, or structural designs</p> </li><li> <p>Advance knowledge of architectural, civil, or structural designs and their integration into mission-critical environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic multidisciplinary knowledge of mission critical systems, design process, pre-construction requirements, and the construction process.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to communicate complex technical issues to senior leadership or non-engineers.</p> </li><li> <p>Architecture license or Engineering license preferred, not required</p> </li><li> <p>MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities</p> </li></ul> <p>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with all levels of the organization</p> </li><li> <p>Must be a capable, proven team player that both fosters and operates well within internal and external team environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to solve problems at a tactical and functional level</p> </li><li> <p>Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously</p> </li></ul> <p>TOTAL REWARDS</p> <p>This role is also eligible for a competitive bene?ts package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; ?exible spending and HSA accounts; paid holidays; paid time off; paid volunteer days; employee assistance program; tuition assistance; parental leave; military leave assistance; QTS scholarship for dependents; wellness program, and other company bene?ts.</p> <p>This position is Bonus eligible.</p> <p>We conform to all the laws, statutes, and regulations concerning equal employment opportunities and affirmative action.
