<p>PRESCHOOL COORDINATOR OPENING for 2025 - 2026 School Year</p> <p>This position is with Cooperative School Services (West Central School Corporation holds contracts for Cooperative School Services employees). Cooperative School Services (CSS) is based in Rensselaer and serves nine school corporations (Benton Community, Frontier, Kankakee Valley, North Newton, North White, Rensselaer Central, South Newton, Tri-County and West Central).?CSS Preschool has 5 classroom sites in Benton, Frontier, Kankakee Valley, Rensselaer Central, and South Newton.</p> <p>Position:?The Preschool Coordinator will supervise all aspects of early childhood/preschool special education services including but not limited to evaluation timelines and eligibility determinations, IEP development, service delivery, teaching strategies, behavior plans, communication supports, instructional resources, and compliance with state and federal regulations.</p> <p>Terms of Employment:</p> <p>Start date: On or about July 14, 2025</p> <p>End Date: On or about June 12, 2026, anticipate 210-day contract, 8 hours per day excluding 30-minute lunch</p> <p>Age ranges of students: Preschool</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Degree in special education and Indiana Teaching License in Special Education </li><li>Professional experience with young children with disabilities and their families </li><li>Knowledge of early childhood developmental milestones </li><li>Effective spoken and written communication skills </li><li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft tools </li><li>Ability to effectively work as a team member either as a leader or as a participant </li><li>Willingness to accept direction and ability to effectively complete assigned tasks on time </li><li>Ability to manage resources including funding, materials, personnel, and time </li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to details and accuracy of information </li><li>Knowledge of community resources to assist individuals with disabilities, especially for young children </li><li>Knowledge of special education laws and regulations </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Supervise all aspects of early childhood/preschool special education services for Cooperative School Services. </li><li>Serve as a member and resource to multidisciplinary evaluation teams for initial eligibility evaluations and re-evaluations. </li><li>Coordinate and conduct case conferences compliant with state and federal regulations. Act as Public Agency Representative for Cooperative School Services Preschool conferences. </li><li>ISPROUT Data Manager and Trainer. Train new staff and ensure all returning staff complete ISPROUT refresher annually. </li><li>Collaborate with community partners like HeadStart and community based preschool programs for Child Find and services within the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE). </li><li>Maintain multiple Excel databases to ensure accurate timelines, student data, and services. </li><li>Coordinate with school aged services to ensure smooth transitions to kindergarten. </li><li>Plan and facilitate monthly evaluation and preschool team meetings. </li><li>Monitor research and best practices in early childhood and special education, disseminating information to appropriate personnel and stakeholders. </li><li>Plan, coordinate, and manage on-going staff development regarding early childhood/preschool special education services. </li><li>Serve as a resource for students, parents, and school personnel in removing barriers to educational progress and developing alternatives and support systems. </li><li>Attend and participate in training activities on pertinent topics. </li><li>Conduct classroom visits and provide feedback to staff members.
