As we recently celebrated 175 years of academic excellence and innovation, please visit CCSU to learn more.</p> <p>About the Office of the Registrar</p> <p>The Office of the Registrar is a highly collaborative team that supports the academic mission of Central by providing core academic support services that uphold institutional integrity and promote student success from enrollment to graduation and beyond. The unit has direct oversight of student records, registration, academic scheduling, degree audit & graduation, curriculum management, and transfer services functions at the university. The department's core values are service, responsiveness, integrity, accuracy, and collaboration.</p> <p>Position Profile</p> <p>The Registrar Services Assistant provides the first level of assistance for calls, emails, mail, and walk-in requests received by the Office of the Registrar. This position is empowered to resolve a variety of student requests that are within the prescribed limits of authority and in compliance with university policies. The Registrar Services Assistant communicates regularly with students and staff on registration and records processes, degree audit and graduation policies and general University policies and operating procedures while contributing to student success and retention. This position works to resolve student issues, including coordinating with other University departments as needed to settle student concerns and/or appropriately refer students. The Registrar Services Assistant assists with troubleshooting, routine error resolution, and routine maintenance of records and registration systems and may assist with routine creation and maintenance of academic course sections.</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of and ability to apply principles and practices of academic affairs including student registration, degree audit, and student record management; knowledge of and ability to apply Federal and State laws and regulations, including FERPA as well as University and CSCU policies and procedures; ability to apply best practices in working with and addressing the needs of specialized student populations; Demonstrated knowledge of multicultural and social justice competencies; Knowledge of and ability to apply principles and practices of University administration including customer service delivery. Ability to use appropriate equipment, computerized systems, platforms and software; Considerable interpersonal skills; Considerable oral and written communication skills.</p> <p>Applicant Evaluative Criteria</p> <p>Applicant profiles and supplementary materials will be evaluated for appointment based on the following:</p> <p>Education:</p> <p>All applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.</p> <p>Experience and Training:</p> <ul> <li>Two years of Registrar's Office, or related college or university office, work experience. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to handle varied and confidential information, effectively organize and perform detailed work, and multitask while demonstrating exemplary customer service skills. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to communicate and share information effectively with a variety of people and groups. </li><li>Demonstrated experience using student information systems, document imaging systems and the Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> <p>Ideal Candidate</p> <p>Preference will be given to applicants with the following:</p> <ul> <li>Two years (FTE) Registrar's Office work experience related to implementation of academic policies and procedures, student registration, computerized academic records, degree audit, course scheduling and/or reporting. </li><li>Experience using and administering degree audit systems or academic scheduling systems. </li><li>Education or training beyond a bachelor's degree closely related to the field of higher education, such as counseling or administration </li></ul> <p>To Apply</p> <p>To begin the application process, select the "Apply" button and electronically submit the following documents by May 27, 2025.</p> <ul> <li>Letter of interest addressing the qualifications for this position. </li><li>Current Résumé </li><li>Names of three current professional references with title, email addresses and telephone numbers. </li></ul> <p>Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
