<p>Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Athletic Trainer (ATC)</p> <p>Location(s): Must be willing to travel to multiple site locations: Elgin and Geneva, Illinois</p> <p>Status: Full-Time (40 Hours/Week) - may include evenings and a rotating Saturday</p> <p>Pay Range (depending on experience): MA from $18.00/hour; CMA from $20.00/hour; ATC from $25.00/hour</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Responsible to provide administrative and clinical assistance including patient preparation and pre-screening, equipment preparation and performing patient care in a clinic setting. This position may also do some light scribing for medical providers.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Verify patient information by interviewing patient and recording medical history. </li><li>Prepare patient for examination by performing preliminary physical tests including taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature. Responsible to ensure information is accurately documented. </li><li>Prepare equipment, injections, educational materials, etc. during treatment and examination of patients. </li><li>Perform patient care including cast application/removal, splinting, post-op wound care, injections, fitting patients for braces and suture and staple removal. </li><li>Communicate with patients and families regarding processes and procedures. </li><li>Collect and prepare laboratory specimens. </li><li>Maintain adequate supplies in examination rooms. </li><li>Maintain accurate and complete patient records. </li><li>Attend departmental meetings as required. </li><li>Scribe for providers. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
