The desired candidate would be someone who enjoys working outdoors, be a leadership, a team player, self-motivated, detailed oriented, and appreciates the value of hard work.</p> <p>General Purpose:</p> <p>Performs chemical/fertilizer applications and assists the superintendent on a 60 acres Executive Golf Course.</p> <p>Pay range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Performs routine safety inspections on all spraying and fertilizer equipment. </li><li>Reads, understands and keeps current up-to-date material safety data sheets (MSDS). </li><li>Maintains chemical storage and mixing areas in compliance with governmental regulations. </li><li>Responsible for ensuring the safety and direction of chemical/fertilizer handlers and/or helpers. </li><li>Keeping records of any fertilizer or chemical applications. </li><li>Ensures proper calibration of all spraying/fertilizing equipment. </li><li>Assist the superintendent and collaborate to supervise the crew. </li><li>Performs other duties as required. </li></ul> <p>Education/Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Certificate from college or technical school; or 1to 2 years at least of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination and experience. </li><li>Current Certified Florida O&T License or obtained within 90 days of employment. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>Regularly stand and walk. Occasionally sits, climbs or balances, tastes or smells. </li><li>Regularly uses hands; reaches with hands or arms; stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls; talks or hears. </li><li>Able to lift 50 pounds. </li><li>Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences: </li><li>Ability to read and speak English and little Spanish is required to communicate well with the entire crew. </li><li>Computer skill, excel. </li></ul>
