You will also have access to professional development opportunities, including continuing education and training programs to enhance your clinical skills.</p> <p>This is a regular PRN position, with caregivers working days between 6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. or 6:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Provide clinical nursing in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC).</p> </li><li> <p>Assess patient care needs, plan the delivery of care and process patients through the ASC.</p> </li><li> <p>Direct other caregivers in providing patient care.</p> </li><li> <p>Assume charge responsibilities, resolve problems and report variances.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop educational materials and provide health education to patients and families.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain nursing competencies.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in preparing staff development programs.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify self-learning needs, establish goals and evaluate attainment of goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate respect for the cultural and social differences that exist among people.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain confidentiality of information regarding patients, families and caregivers.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrate a positive, concerned and sensitive response in the workplace and contribute to a positive workplace atmosphere.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)</p> </li><li> <p>One year of clinical experience as an RN in a perioperative or critical care setting</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association(AHA) or the American Red Cross</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or willing to obtain within six months of hire</p> </li><li> <p>Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)</p> </li><li> <p>Current demonstrated clinical proficiency</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's of science in nursing (BSN)</p> </li><li> <p>Ambulatory Surgery Center experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.</p> </li></ul> <p>Personal Protective Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required. </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <p>Minimum hourly: $41.00</p> <p>Maximum hourly: $41.00</p> <p>The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
