<p>The Assistant Golf Operations Manager plays a key role in the day-to-day success of an assigned municipal golf course. This position oversees daily operations including clubhouse functions, exceptional customer service, tournament coordination, retail sales, and on-site maintenance collaboration. Working closely with course leadership, the Assistant Manager helps ensure smooth operations, a positive golfer experience, and a well-maintained, welcoming facility for the community.</p> <p>The purpose of the class is to oversee the daily operational functions of an assigned municipal golf course, including clubhouse operations, customer service, tournaments, retail sales, starter/marshal coordination, and on-site maintenance coordination. This position provides direct supervision to frontline clubhouse, greenskeeping and maintenance staff. This position works under general supervision of the Golf Operations Manager. </p> <p>Minimum Requirements: </p> <p> • Requires a Bachelor's degree in business administration, recreation management, hospitality, sports management, or a related field. </p> <p> •Three (3) years of experience in golf course operations and maintenance, activities, recreation facility management, hospitality management, or a related field. </p> <p> • One (1) year of supervisory experience required. </p> <p> • Experience with point-of-sale systems, scheduling, customer service, and event coordination preferred. </p> <p> • Experience in planning and directing golf tournaments preferred. </p> <p> • A combination of education and experience may be considered for this position.  </p> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must possess a valid driver's license and must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record based on the City of Hampton's criteria.  </li><li>Must possess or be able to obtain within six months of employment, a Pesticide Applicators License. </li><li>Must successfully pass a background check related to this position.  </li></ul> <p>For job description: Click here</p>
