Part of a team, you'll be surrounded by bright minds and keen co-creators - always willing to help and be helped - as you apply passion to work that will compel our clients to invest in IBM's products and services.</p> <p>Your role and responsibilities</p> <p>As a Brand Technical Specialist you'll work closely with clients to develop relationships, understand their needs, earn their trust and show them how IBM's industry leading solutions will solve their problems whilst delivering value to their business.</p> <p>Your primary responsibilities will include:</p> <ul> <li>Client Strategy Design: Creating client strategies for Data & AI infrastructure. </li><li>Solution Definition: Defining IBM Data & AI solutions that enhance technology stacks. </li><li>Educational Support: Providing proof of concepts and simplifying complex topics to educate clients. </li><li>Credibility Building: Establishing credibility and trust to facilitate the closure of intricate Cloud tech deals. </li></ul> <p>Characteristics of a successful Brand Technical Specialist include the ability to:</p> <ul> <li>Provide technical sales support for key programs and select client engagements during the pre-sales and post-sales process to remove technical inhibitors to opportunities </li><li>Utilize technical experts for orchestration of viable client solutions and accelerators, leveraging current capabilities and offerings while providing input to product teams for solutions refinement in support of the business unit </li><li>Work in close collaboration with technical teams and IBM business units in development of winning client solutions </li><li>Work across various territories and leverage industry experts within IBM markets </li><li>Be the go-to resource to the business unit technical sales teams when expertise may be needed in developing the architecture, executing garage engagements and in co-creation customer engagements </li></ul> <p>Required education</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>Preferred education</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree</p> <p>Required technical and professional expertise</p> <ul> <li>3 years of relevant, professional experience in technology sales and the Data and AI Industry. </li><li>Technical expertise working on Gen AI projects including Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI workflows and AI empowered Code Assistants (training on IBM's Data & AI offerings will be provided). Experience with competitive products in this space is a plus. </li><li>Technical expertise working with Workflow Automation offerings including Workflow, ECM, Cloud Pak for Business Automation, Blueworks Live, RPA, ODM, Process Mining (training on IBM's Data & AI offerings will be provided). Experience with competitive products in this space is a plus. </li><li>Ability to translate business goals into technical solutions through collaborative teamwork and industry insights. </li><li>Ability to utilize strong interpersonal and communication skills to influence diverse stakeholders within enterprises. </li><li>Strong conversational capability to describe IBM offerings in the context of value it creates for an enterprise and specific persona. </li><li>Demonstrated level of business acumen coupled with technical expertise. </li><li>Ability to proactively prospect, share POVs and progress new pipeline to closure. </li></ul> <p>Preferred technical and professional experience</p> <ul> <li>Technical expertise working with Business Analytics offerings including Cognos, Planning Analytics, SPSS Modeler. </li><li>Understanding of competitive landscape. </li><li>Financial Services industry expertise (Banking/Insurance). </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work in complex, matrix managed organizational environment where collaboration and effective communication is essential to success. </li><li>Ability to anticipate, create and define innovative and visionary concepts in strategic environments. </li><li>Strong operational and project management skills. </li><li>Commercially minded and understands the end-to-end sales engagements with a strong sense of ownership, execution, and focus on client success. </li></ul> <p>ABOUT BUSINESS UNIT</p> <p>IBM has a global presence, operating in more than 175 countries with a broad-based geographic distribution of revenue.
