<p>We're seeking a hands-on Maintenance Mechanic Lead to drive equipment reliability and support day-to-day facility operations. This role combines advanced troubleshooting across electrical (12VDC-480VAC), pneumatic, and mechanical systems with team leadership responsibilities, including training mechanics and promoting a proactive maintenance culture. You'll help manage CMMS accuracy, support inventory and parts organization, and step in to resolve issues-including occasional off-hours support. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, clear communication, and the ability to lead effectively with minimal supervision while continuously improving maintenance performance.</p> <p>Essential Functions and Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain an organized, clean work area </li><li>Maintenance of equipment and building </li><li>Training the other mechanics in troubleshooting, motor repair and pneumatic troubleshooting will be a major focus of the Maintenance Lead </li><li>Assist in keeping CMMS software in order </li><li>May need to take phone calls and help troubleshoot during off hours </li><li>Assist in inventory and parts organization </li><li>Familiarity with electrical systems from 12VDC - 480VAC </li><li>Knowledge of pneumatic and vacuum systems </li><li>Knows all applicable Sanitation and Safety SOP's </li><li>Knows general company policies and handbook policies </li><li>Maintain a positive attitude and promote proactive maintenance work </li><li>Maintains excellent communication and relationships with other employees to foster team effort </li><li>Seeks out new ways to improve productivity </li><li>Forklift Certified </li><li>Additional duties may be assigned and/or required </li></ul> <p>Personal Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A Lead Maintenance Mechanic should be able to perform many common industrial maintenance tasks and help other mechanics learn the same skills </li><li>Must be able to maintain productivity with limited supervision </li><li>Must be willing to make maintenance decisions when other leaders are not present </li><li>Training the other mechanics in troubleshooting, motor repair and pneumatic troubleshooting will be a major focus of the Maintenance Lead </li><li>Strong electrical and pneumatic troubleshooting and communication skills are required </li><li>Strong electrical meter knowledge including amp clamp, true RMS meter and megger </li><li>Must be able to work with limited supervision and have a willingness and desire to learn new equipment </li><li>Ability to work as part Ability to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude </li><li>Ability to adhere to schedule work hours </li><li>Maintain proper hygiene </li><li>Must be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions in English </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>1-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Lead or similar role. </li><li>Strong electrical meter knowledge, including amp clamp, true RMS meter and megger </li><li>Knowledge and competency of CMMS software </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Competent in CMMS, Excel and Microsoft Word </li><li>PLC programming, SolidWorks/AutoCAD training or equivalent experience preferred </li><li>TIG/MIG welding and lathe/mill experience is preferred </li><li>High School Graduate or GED Equivalent </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to squat and bend for extended periods of time </li><li>Twisting and reaching are required </li><li>Pushing and pulling heavy loads </li><li>Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularly </li><li>Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards </li><li>Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards </li></ul> <p>Temporary Replacement:</p> <ul> <li>Maintenance Manager </li></ul> <p>PetIQ provides convenient and affordable pet health and wellness products and veterinary services to pets and their families through retail and ecommerce channels across the country.</p> <p>We are advocates for pet parents, because we believe that all pet parents should be able to provide necessary care that enhances the lives of their pets.</p> <p>Why join the PetIQ Team?</p> <p>We have an incredible culture built on our core values that are embedded in everything we do.
