This position requires a responsible individual who can effectively manage traffic flow and communicate with both drivers and pedestrians to maintain a safe environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to safety compliance.</p> <p>Duties</p> <ul> <li>Monitor and direct pedestrian traffic at crosswalks to ensure safe passage for children and other pedestrians. </li><li>Communicate clearly with drivers to manage traffic flow and ensure compliance with stop signals. </li><li>Maintain a visible presence during designated crossing times, wearing appropriate safety gear. </li><li>Report any unsafe conditions or incidents to the appropriate authorities promptly. </li><li>Assist children in understanding traffic rules and safe crossing practices. </li><li>Stay informed about local traffic laws, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols related to pedestrian crossings. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of OSHA standards, first aid, CPR, and vital signs is preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and EPA guidelines is a plus. </li><li>Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and drivers. </li><li>Ability to manage compliance with safety protocols and procedures. </li><li>A responsible attitude towards ensuring the safety of others in a busy environment. </li><li>Previous experience in a similar role or training in traffic management is beneficial but not mandatory.
