The full pay range for this position is $29.56 - $45.82 an hour based on your experience and education. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but is not limited to:</p> <ul> <li> <p>A guaranteed life-long monthly pension, once vested after 5 years of service</p> </li><li> <p>457B Retirement Plan</p> </li><li> <p>132 hours of PTO earned within first year</p> </li><li> <p>12 Paid Holidays per year, plus 1 personal holiday</p> </li><li> <p>Education Refund Program (ERP) - a chance for the city to support your continued learning and career growth by investing in your future with the city</p> </li><li> <p>Care Bank - 8 weeks of Paid Family Leave (after the probation period is passed)</p> </li><li> <p>Free RTD Eco Pass</p> </li><li> <p>Competitive medical, dental and vision plans effective within 1 month of start date</p> </li></ul> <p>Location</p> <p>This position reports on site at the Republic Plaza located at 370 17th St., Denver, CO 80202</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>We are currently seeking a Criminal Investigations Technician to join the Denver Districts Attorney's Office.</p> <p>In this role the?Criminal Justice Officer will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Obtain additional information to include, but not limited to 911 calls, Body Worn Camera footage, Medical Re-lease, Medical Records, Similar Fact cases [404b material], Jail calls, Jail visits, Serious Bodily Injury Forms</p> </li><li> <p>Assists in locating victims and witnesses</p> </li><li> <p>Organizes case materials for review as they relate to civil forfeitures and researches current information to determine ownership</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares written reports as to actions taken</p> </li><li> <p>Executes Court Orders with defendants for nontestimonial evidence, i.e. DNA swabs, fingerprints, and photographs</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts evidence viewings with defense counsel and Deputy District Attorneys</p> </li><li> <p>Provides complete and accurate testimony in Court proceedings</p> </li><li> <p>Preparation of Exhibits such as maps and diagrams, the preparation for presentation of real evidence, (primarily blocking, mounting, and "blowing up" photographs), and the editing, redacting, and reformatting of digital evidence (video and audio) and, editing, redacting and/or reformatting of analog (VHS and Cassette) as requested</p> </li><li> <p>Arrange for and producing/recording video depositions and close-circuit presentations when authorized by the court.
