<p>Job Description:</p> <p>The Business Office Clerk I provides data entry support across multiple departments, including but not limited to the Finance Department and Human Resources. This position is on-site and requires multitasking, attention to detail, discretion, and a high level of organization to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Business Office Support:</p> <ul> <li>Entry of Accounts Payable </li><li>Entry of Accounts Receivable </li><li>Recording deposits and credit card transactions </li><li>Track, record, and process expense reports. </li><li>Maintain vendor files and assist with reconciliations. </li><li>Data entry into software systems. </li><li>General office and clerical support. </li></ul> <p>Human Resources Support:</p> <ul> <li>Assist with updating HR forms </li><li>Assist with maintaining employee files. </li><li>Assist with updating forms, as needed </li><li>Assist with maintaining Homeland Security I-9 log and binders </li><li>Assist with creating a procedure manual for HR </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Office environment; occasional need to lift or move materials up to 25 lbs. </li></ul> <p>Standard business hours with occasional additional hours during peak cycles, based upon the needs of the operation.</p> <p>May be sitting for long periods of time in front of a computer.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Discretion with confidential information. </li><li>GED or HS Diploma. </li><li>1+ years of administrative experience preferred, preferably in a multi-department support role </li><li>Familiarity with Accounting and Payroll systems. </li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively. </li><li>Must be able to work with campus and student populations, administration, and staff/faculty. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Medical</p> <p>Dental, Vision</p> <p>Discount Program</p> <p>Parking available</p> <p>EAP</p> <p>403(b) Retirement with bi-weekly employer match upon eligibility</p> <p>Annual Retirement Employer discretionary Contribution</p> <p>Annual Increase - based upon evaluations</p> <p>Holiday Pay (12 holidays)</p> <p>Tuition Reimbursement</p> <p>Sick Leave</p> <p>Paid Time Off</p> <p>PTO and Sick Leave Carryover</p> <p>Salary: $17.00/hour - $18.50 /hour</p> <p>Application Instructions:</p> <p>This position is open until filled.</p> <p>Cover letter, resume and letters of reference may be submitted through the SUNY Cobleskill website at https://www.cobleskill.edu/about/offices-services/human-resources/index.aspx under Current Openings.</p>
