<p>Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart.</p> <p>The Opportunity</p> <p>Nutanix is seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled eDiscovery and Forensic Specialist to join our Legal team. This position suits a professional who is comfortable navigating legal, technical, and operational challenges. You will play a key role in managing the end-to-end eDiscovery lifecycle, conducting forensic collections, and overseeing discovery case management in collaboration with outside counsel and eDiscovery vendors.</p> <p>This role will collaborate closely with Legal, IT, Security, and HR teams to ensure defensible, efficient, and scalable processes for handling electronically stored information (ESI) and forensic data. The work setup for this role is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from anywhere, although candidates located in San Jose, CA, or Durham, NC, are required to come into the office 3 days a week. There are no travel requirements for this position.</p> <p>Your Role</p> <ul> <li>Lead and manage the identification, preservation, collection, processing, and production of ESI in response to litigation, investigations, and regulatory requests. </li><li>Conduct forensic collections from digital devices, cloud platforms, and enterprise systems in a defensible and well-documented manner. </li><li>Manage relationships with eDiscovery vendors and outside counsel, including project scoping, timelines, and deliverables. </li><li>Oversee discovery case management, including tracking custodians, data volumes, and review workflows. </li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and legally sound eDiscovery workflows. </li><li>Maintain detailed documentation and chain of custody for all forensic and eDiscovery activities. </li><li>Support internal investigations and incident response efforts with forensic collection expertise. </li><li>Evaluate and implement tools and technologies to enhance eDiscovery and forensic capabilities. </li><li>Develop and maintain SOPs and best practices for forensic collections and eDiscovery processes. </li></ul> <p>What You Will Bring</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of experience in eDiscovery and forensic collections, preferably at a vendor or law firm environment. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Information Systems, or a related field. </li><li>Strong knowledge of eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity, Nuix, Exterro), forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, X-Ways), and the EDRM model. </li><li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Workspace, M365) and enterprise IT environments. </li><li>Experience managing eDiscovery vendors and coordinating with outside counsel. </li><li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. </li><li>Preferred but not required: Industry certifications such as PMP, EnCE, GCFE, or Relativity Certified Administrator. </li></ul> <p>Work Arrangement</p> <p>Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.</p> <p>The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between USD $ 92,000 and USD $ 184,800 per year.</p> <p>However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.</p> <p>If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
