Consults and seeks out guidance from RN and/or other healthcare team members, as appropriate and when completing new or unfamiliar tasks or duties. </li><li>Tasks include but are not limited to: </li><li>Activities of Daily Living </li><li>Answering patient call lights </li><li>Assisting with simple procedures defined in the work area </li><li>Taking and recording vital signs and weights </li><li>Transporting patients, equipment, supplies, and specimens </li><li>Assists in maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment </li><li>Obtains, records and/or accurately enters data into the EMR. Promptly completes documentation to assure an accurate legal record of patient's care. </li><li>Verbally presents factual, concise, and timely information and/or patient care data to the RN, the healthcare team, patients and/or family members in a professional manner. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Enrolled in a formal BSN or ADN nursing program to include completion of introductory clinical nursing course with clinical component. </li></ul> <p>Team members within UPH-DM may remain in Student Nurse tech role for up to 6-months after passing the board and achieving RN license.</p> <p>License(s)/Certification(s):</p> <ul> <li>Must possess and maintain current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification or obtain certification within three months from date of hire. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Completion of 1 RN clinical rotation </li></ul> <p>Other:</p> <ul> <li>Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. </li></ul>
