This may include engineering support in new product development, pilot plant design and execution, new technology design, and chemical processing. Typically, 36-40 hours a week on site.</p> <p>9/80 schedule if applicable</p> <p>What will you do?</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead innovative engineering projects and improvement activities across Mosaic concentrate and mining processes, including development of entirely new processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Complete feasibility studies on new technology that could provide a step change improvement to aspects of mining and concentrate processing, and product development.</p> </li><li> <p>Actively engage with various levels of personnel, including operations, engineering, and functional groups to share learnings and build collaborative networks.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate and direct research activities in both laboratory and full-scale industrial operations.</p> </li><li> <p>Adhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies</p> </li></ul> <p>What do you need for this role?</p> <ul> <li> <p>Sophomore level by January 2026 or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Mining or industrial Engineering</p> </li><li> <p>2.75 GPA or higher</p> </li><li> <p>1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship</p> </li><li> <p>Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete the following: Post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination.</p> </li><li> <p>Basic computer skills are required.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in a team environment is a must.</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable.</p> </li><li> <p>Effective verbal communication skills is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.</p> </li></ul> <p>The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of this job.
