The employee in the operator position has moved beyond trainee and demonstrates an increased ability to work independently and use good judgment and discretion with less supervision than a trainee.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Performs job activities in a manner consistent with Kodiak's procedures/protocols, goals and objectives</p> </li><li> <p>Successful and satisfactory completion of operator qualification tests</p> </li><li> <p>Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams and secure machinery</p> </li><li> <p>Cleans and checks units, tools and equipment and performs routine maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Review and maintain historical data</p> </li><li> <p>Check plants differential pressures, temperatures, filters, chemicals, and engines to ensure they are running properly</p> </li><li> <p>Optimize plant output by setting up, operating, and troubleshooting a variety of machines and equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines</p> </li><li> <p>Adjust machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications</p> </li><li> <p>Record and transmit data of job logs on a daily basis from the field to the office of operating conditions of plants and equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate with the office in order to control inventory restocking and parts usage</p> </li><li> <p>Operates with minimal supervision</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties and responsibilities as required</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to write routine reports and correspondence</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, contractors, and employees</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work independently, while actively seeking out ways to assist the team</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent judgment and discretion; ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously, meet deadlines, and handle work-related stress is required</p> </li><li> <p>Friendly, respectful, and customer service-oriented</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient MS Office skills; Outlook, Excel, Word</p> </li><li> <p>Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work productively in a team environment</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work a flexible schedule to include holidays and weekends</p> </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>2+ years of amine operations and/or maintenance or related industry experience required</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of amine operations and/or maintenance or related industry experience preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass an operator qualification test</p> </li><li> <p>High school diploma or GED required</p> </li><li> <p>Formal vocational training is preferred</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires operation of heavy equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Requires employee to stand for up to 75% of the time</p> </li><li> <p>Requires moving and maintaining self in different positions-stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces</p> </li><li> <p>The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds</p> </li><li> <p>Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus</p> </li><li> <p>Requires work in outdoor conditions, including extreme heat and extreme cold</p> </li><li> <p>Up to 10% of travel</p> </li></ul> <p>#mechanictech</p> <p>Kodiak Gas Services is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer: All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status.</p>
