<p>Overview</p> <p>The Equipment Technician performs moderately complex customer support activities, including installations, routine repairs, and maintenance of chemical injection pumps and accessories used in Oil and Gas production.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform installations, routine repairs, and maintenance of chemical injection pumps and accessories. </li><li>Operate and maintain equipment used in the production of Oil and Gas. </li><li>Monitor and adjust pump systems, control chemical injection rates, and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the production process. </li><li>Conduct regular inspections, troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks. </li><li>Collect samples using a Draeger pump to assess the quality of the oilfield fluids. </li><li>Assemble different parts of manufactured products using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. </li><li>Inspect materials, components, subassemblies, etc., to ensure they meet accepted quality standards. </li><li>Install and troubleshoot communication equipment. </li><li>Read and follow work instructions, work orders, production drawings, and sample assemblies, or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. </li><li>Process and submit customer service transactions such as service tickets accurately. </li><li>Provide accurate and timely information regarding the availability of in-stock items. </li><li>Answer basic inquiries from customers, providing basic technical product and application support. </li><li>Work alone and/or under general supervision. </li><li>Develop good working relationships with customers through frequent and professional written and verbal communication. </li><li>Communicate professionally and effectively with customers when delivering both good and bad information. </li><li>Comply with all safety policies and procedures. </li><li>Work unconventional hours and potentially weekends to provide the required level of service on occasion. </li><li>Attend work in a predictable and regular manner. </li><li>Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision immediately. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Vocational/Technical training or certification, or equivalent experience preferred; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. </li><li>Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when requested. </li><li>Experience taking water, gas, and oil samples preferred. </li><li>Familiarity with oilfield chemicals, pumps, water pumps, etc., preferred. </li><li>Basic knowledge of industrial safety, proper hand and power tool use, and motorized material movement equipment. </li><li>Proficient in MS Outlook and Excel. </li><li>Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and various levels of management. </li><li>Basic analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Must be able to travel away from the shop daily. </li><li>Speak, read, and write English fluently. </li><li>Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements. </li><li>Must meet all conditional job offer requirements, including background, drug, hair follicle, MVR, agility, and fit for duty. </li><li>Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. </li><li>Walking, bending, and stooping required. </li><li>Must be able to wear personal protective equipment, including the use of a respirator. </li><li>Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms. </li><li>Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. </li></ul>
