<p>Job Title: Research Assistant VII</p> <p>Grade: 14</p> <p>Salary: $52,753-$57,960</p> <p>The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene is seeking a qualified applicant to fill a full-time Research Assistant VII position for the Division of Behavioral Health Services and Policy Research at the New York State Psychiatric Institute, who can provide research assistance to our OMH Policy Scholars research program and other investigators in the Division.</p> <p>OMH Policy Scholars are new investigators who are awarded a year-long grant to complete a project relevant to an issue of priority to the New York Office of Mental Health. They often require research assistance to complete their projects. Likewise, investigators in the Division have small and large projects that require research assistance.</p> <p>Applicants will be required to complete all human subjects training requirements before engaging in any human subjects research. This position can be hybrid (telecommute and office-based), although the applicant must have flexibility to come into the office when needed.</p> <p>Candidate should be familiar with Good Clinical Practice guidelines and statistical software. Some nights and weekends may be needed.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting with IRB correspondence </li><li>Organizing steering committee meetings </li><li>Assisting with recruitment and consent procedures with study participants </li><li>Interviewing participants </li><li>Facilitating focus groups and workshops </li><li>Transcription of interviews </li><li>Data collection, coding, checking, extraction, cleaning, analysis, and summarization </li><li>Manuscript revisions and literature reviews </li><li>Processing orders and payments </li><li>Other duties as required </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent in experience and education </li><li>At least (6) months experience in a research environment or working on a research project </li><li>Personal lived and living experience of mental health and/or substance recovery can substitute for education and/or work experience </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Certificate in human subjects training </li><li>Previous usage of qualitative software a plus </li></ul> <p>Work Location: 1051 Riverside Drive, New York, NY 10032</p> <p>To Apply: Submit an application through our website at https://nyspi.applicantpro.com/jobs/.
