<p>About Us</p> <p>Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) is an award-winning, medium-hub commercial service airport that served more than a record-breaking 11 million passengers in 2024 and is one of the top 50 airports in the United States for passenger traffic. Fifteen airlines serve RSW with nonstop service to 70 markets, including Canada and Germany. Base Operations at Page Field is an award-winning, fixed-based operator and has been recognized for its customer service and facilities.</p> <p>Terminal Expansion projects are currently underway at RSW to improve the airport travel experience by consolidating the security checkpoints, adding concession space and providing passengers more amenities and options. In addition, a new Concourse E is being constructed with 14 gates, as well as other terminal, landside and airside improvements.</p> <p>The anticipated starting hourly rate for the ideal candidate is $20.35. </p> <p>The Position</p> <p>The Lee County Port Authority is seeking a highly professional individual to join the Airport Operations team in  the Access Control Office to ensure the security of the airport by processing and vetting employees applying for security access badges.  Being a Trusted Agent requires confidentiality, a willingness to provide excellent customer service, and a high attention to detail. </p> <p>The Access Control Office operates Monday - Friday, 5:30am - 5:00pm.  The candidate must be able to work an 8 hour shift within this timeframe, as assigned. Fluency in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole is strongly preferred. Candidates should be able to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms in English and the preferred language(s) to serve a diverse community.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Process applicant fingerprints and submit biographical data of ID applicants for security threat assessments in the methods required by TSA security directives.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform all tasks associated with processing badging applications from start to finish.</p> </li><li> <p>Enter data into various databases used for the vetting, training, and credentialing of airport workers with a high degree of accuracy, speed, and confidentiality.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform administrative tasks in support of airport credentialing (ID) operations such as running reports, compiling billing summaries, and maintaining various databases utilized in the access control office.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide a high-level of customer service to the members of the airport community, answering their questions about access control and the credentialing process.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Requirements </p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma or GED required.</p> </li><li> <p>Florida driver's license is required within 30 days of employment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Previous customer service experience is preferred.</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual highly preferred (Spanish / Haitian Creole) </li></ul> <p>Emergency Response/Recovery Activities: Lee County Port Authority personnel are designated by tier levels and may be called upon to assist with an emergency or unforeseen event at any time.
