<p>Div. 49 Orlando, FL Summary</p> <p>The Fire Suppression Technician performs a broad range of maintenance, repair, and installation support, also incorporating inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of kitchen hood suppression systems and portable fire extinguishers.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.</p> <ul> <li>Inspecting and repairing pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems. </li><li>Thorough understanding of NFPA, manufacturer and local fire codes for restaurant fire suppression systems. </li><li>Perform system repairs which includes installation of nozzles and piping and installation, removal or replacement of agent cylinders </li><li>Perform inspection, service, repair and maintenance of wet and dry chemical fire extinguishing systems/portable fire extinguishers. </li><li>Identifying potentially unfavorable site condition that could compromise the performance of mechanical and/or components of the system. </li><li>Performing on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems. </li><li>Maintain proper documentation for all work performed. </li></ul> <p>Additional Requirements:</p> <p>Pre-employment Drug screen & Clean MVR; overtime may be required.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <p>High School Diploma and two (2) years experience.</p> <p>Certifications/Licenses</p> <p>Pre-engineered Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems Permit and Portable Fire Extinguisher Permit preferred; Drivers License and clean MVR required.</p> <p>Computer Skills</p> <p>Microsoft Office, including Work and Excel.</p> <p>What's In It For You?</p> <p>Century Fire Protection is one of the largest and most successful full-service fire protection companies based in the Southeast and we are still growing!
