We are seeking an Athletic Department Aide to join our Athletics Department.</p> <p>Job Summary: The Athletic Department Aide will provide administrative and operational support to the Athletic Director and coaching staff. They will assist with event management, maintain records, and ensure smooth operations for athletic programs. The Athletic Department Aide must balance multiple projects and changing priorities throughout the year, while understanding the importance of positive community relations. This role is a full-time, 40-hour work week. The Athletic Director and Athletic Department Aide will have the discretion for determining the Athletic Department Aide's daily work schedule.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <p>Game and Event Management:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in coordination of game day operations, including confirmation and payment of officials, collaboration of event staff, and confirmation of transportation. </li><li>Manage ticket sales and distribution for home games. </li><li>Oversee facility setup and breakdown for athletic events ensuring player and spectator safety. </li><li>Assist with Booster events and concession operations at the respective athletic events. </li><li>Collaborate with Athletic Director and Athletics Event Assistants to ensure all event tasks and duties are completed from setup to closing facilities. </li></ul> <p>Administrative Tasks:</p> <ul> <li>Assist in oversight of records relative to student-athlete eligibility, academic performance, attendance, medical documentation, and guidelines for student transfers. </li><li>Help monitor coaching hires as they complete steps for onboarding, including background checks, board approval, and appropriate training and certifications. </li><li>Provide support to the coaching staff, including preparing materials, organizing meetings, and assisting with communication. </li></ul> <p>Communication and Promotion:</p> <ul> <li>Update athletic websites with news, scores/results, and other relevant information. </li><li>Assist in communication with parents, students, and the community regarding athletic schedules and important updates as necessary. </li></ul> <p>Compliance and Risk Management:</p> <ul> <li>Follow all district and state policies related to high school athletic programs. </li><li>Assist in tracking coach training and certifications to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. </li><li>Help monitor coach compliance with school policies and athletic regulations. </li></ul> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of state and league athletic rules and regulations. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently and collaborate as a part of the team. </li><li>Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. </li><li>Ability to navigate and troubleshoot various technology programs utilized by Athletic Department. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Ohio Pupil Activity Permit. </li><li>Experience in coaching or athletic administration at the high school level. </li></ul> <p>Language Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with Students, Staff, and the public. The ability to communicate complex messages and problems/solutions simply and effectively.</p> <p>Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Ohio Pupil Activity Permit, Driver's License</p> <p>Other Skills and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to maintain confidential information. </li><li>Must be consistently prompt and reliable. </li><li>Forward thinking approach to proactively handle problems that may arise. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>Southwest Local School District participates in the Southwest Ohio Organization for School Health (SWOOSH).
